This fine example of Czech functionalist architecture has been restored to its former glory. Originally constructed in 1930 by Czech functionalist architect Hynek Svoboda for a Czech industrialist, the building had been badly neglected over the past 30 years.
Many of the unique elements and concepts inherent in the original design have been strengthened and adapted using modern construction techniques and the interior has been opened up so that sunlight floods into all areas. The garden, conceived as part of the overall functionalist composition has also been painstakingly reconstructed.
